Listening to Glee always makes me happy. I swear I could listen to these songs on repeat forever. In fact, if you have no idea who I am, I'm obsessed. That's where the name of this blog came from.
"Don't Rain On My Parade" sung by Lea Michele
(On iTunes it's by Glee Cast). Download it if you haven't already. It's my theme song. That was something on my bucket list- to find my theme song. And I did. Maybe it will change in the future, but for now that is what always gets me motivated.
"But whether I'm the rose of sheer perfection,
a freckle on the nose of life's complexion,
the cinder or the shiny apple of its eye-
I gotta fly once!
I gotta try once!
Only can die once, right sir?
Oh life is juicy,
Juicy and, you see,
I've gotta have my bite, sir."
I mean how do those words not motivate you? They make me feel like I can do anything. This goes back to the whole purpose of this thing. Finding happiness. In order to find that happiness, I've got to be motivated. And this is my key.
You may think that it's ridiculous that a song does this much for me but music has always been one of my passions. I credit a lot to this silly show. It's the reason I re-joined a choir. I credit this show to finding my niche. People say a show changed their lived, but Glee really changed my life for the better. So thank you. Thank you to anyone that has had a part in this show. You've helped me more than you will ever know. Getting me to sing again is one of the best thing I've ever done for myself and I don't know why I ever stopped. Glee even caused me to take into consideration a minor in music. I don't know if that's going to happen, but I do know one thing.
And that thing is that I'm happy.
:]
